COURSE REQUIREMENT: Graphing Calculator
You need a graphing calculator for this course. The following Texas Instruments models are appropriate:
OPTIONS:
1. Buy a new one. I last checked online for a Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition Graphing Calculator on 8/18/14 and it was $98 at Walmart and a TI-83 Plus Calculator was $96 at Target.
2. Buy a used one. You can often find used models on Ebay, Craigslist, or in used bookstores like Edward McKay. Do not buy a yellow one because they are sold directly to schools (i.e. it was stolen).
3. Rent one for $10 from the BHS math department for the school year. You will need to have your parents sign a rental agreement and bring $10 cash to Ms. Kinkaid (0305).
IN THE RARE CASE THAT YOU LEAVE YOURS AT SCHOOL, A FRIEND'S HOUSE, ETC...
You can download a graphing calculator to the desktop of your home computer by following the instructions below.
1. Go HERE
2. Select TI-83 SDK.
3. Follow the instructions for downloading.
4. Go to File, and select New from the drop-down menu.
5. Select TI-83 Plus and click OK.
6. Click the Play button.
7. The graphing calculator is now ready to use.
